Introduction and my role:
When I first interviewed for this position, I asked why they were hiring. I was told the College is so massive that they needed additional support to comprehensively cover its 50+ departments and countless programs.
From that day on I had a vision to not only contribute to the growth of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences overall, but to take initiative in supporting and providing visibility to smaller departments that lacked the communications resources larger programs have.

I started working for the College in September 2024, as a Communications and Design Assistant and plan to continue this role till I graduate May 2026. Already I've seen my vision come to life through the Major of the Month series. I've also been given countless opportunities to grow as a strategic communicator and creative in this role.
